Summer 2008 Truggy League

The 2007 Winter Outlaw Series went so well we decided to have a summer truggy series to let our chunky-wheeled friends enjoy the track for another whole season. Click here for the results.
Details
- Please remember the track runs anti-clockwise at ALL times
- Race book in times are between 09:00 - 09:45
- Transmitter details must be declared at this point. No vehicle can be run until it has signed in and radio frequency approved free for use.
- Race control announcement 09:50
- Transponder numbers assigned to drivers. This number will not change for the qualifiers but WILL change for the final, it is your responsibility to check this.
- Qualifiers start at 10:00
- Heats are run in reverse order, i.e. Group C, B then A.
- Heat example:-
- Race control announces 5 minutes till start. You have 5 mins from this point until timing starts
- You warm up your car and then come into the pits with about a minute remaining on the clock (this will be announced) to top up with fuel.
- On returning to the track when the claxon sounds for the start of the race your timing will NOT start until you next cross the start/finish line. DO NOT try to slow up to avoid going round again.

The heat lasts for five minutes (as per last year) with a 30 second announcements and instructions to finish the current lap made before the end of the race
- There will be a 10 minute break before this repeats for the next heat. 10 minutes plus the 5 minutes warm up give the agreed 15 min break between heats, this can be reduced if appropriate.
- After all heats are completed there will be a 20 minute break while race control compiles the times in order to group the finals which will also run in reverse order.
Points Structure
A single driver with the best Time Qualifier (TQ) for the day gets a bonus two points.
Points awarded are as follows;
A Final first gets 100 points, it then each subsequent position is awarded one less point all the way to last car. For example, the points awarded to the ten drivers racing in the two groups A and B:

Note - The winner of B Final will get moved up into the A Final and stand a chance at winning the 100 points if they win the A Final.
If there is a C Final then the same applies. Its winner will get moved up into the B Final, if they win they get moved up again
